DEATH TAKES MRS. C. L. MURRIE
OLD AND RESPECTED RESIDENT PASSES
AWAY FOLLOWING HEMMORHAGE
FUNERAL TO BE FRIDAY
Mrs. Catherine McCredie Murrie passed away at 3:30 o'clock
Wednesday afternoon, following a brain hemmorhage, which she
suffered Monday morning.
Mrs. Murrie, apparently in the best of health, was in the yard at
her home early Monday morning, when without warning she was
stricken. She was carried to her home, where loving hands and
medical skill did everything possible to prolong her life, but to
no avail, and she passed away Wednesday afternoon without
Catherine McCredie was born at Millburn April 10, 1858, and has
resided in or near Grayslake during her entire lifetime. She
leaves to mourn her passing two sisters, Mrs. D. O. Douglas of
Waukegan, Mrs. William Miller and John and George McCredie of Lake
Villa. Four sons and one daughter also survive her-Roy Murrie of
Antioch, Lynn of Mundelein, Howard and Maurice and Miss Mabel
Murrie of Grayslake.
Mrs Murrie was a member of the Congregational church, in which she
was an active worker. She was also a member and a worker in the
Grayslake Cemetery society.
Funeral services will be held at the Congregational church Friday
afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the Grayslake
