Frank DeYoung
Age 84 of Millburn, passed away Friday, May 5, 2000 at his home. He was born, Jan. 22, 1916 in Waukegan, the son of the late, Christian and Florence (Whidden) DeYoung. Frank was a 1934 graduate of Warren High School and worked over 30 years at the Lake Cook Farm Supply in Grayslake before his retirement. Frank and his late wife, Margaret were lifelong members of the Millburn Congregational Church, 50 year members of the choir, volunteers at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan and they were 4-H leaders. On June 9, 1945 he married Margaret Denman in Millburn and she preceded him in death on April 22.
Survivors include his brother, George (the late Patricia DeYoung) of Lake Villa; sister-in-laws, Grace Kane of Libertyville and Alice Bauman of Lindenhurst and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held at the Millburn Congregational Church with Pastor Paul Meltzer officiating.
Friends and family called at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch.
Interment was at Millburn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to A Safe Place or the Millburn Congregational Church in his memory.

Clayton A. Engh
Clayton A. Engh, 81, of Gurnee died April 30 at West Allis Memorial Hospital, West Allis, Wis.
Mr. Engh was born March 7, 1919 in Chicago, the son of the late Theodore and Minnie Engh, living in Wadsworth before moving to Gurnee, where he graduated from Warren High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and was a member of the American Legion Post #771 in Gurnee.
Mr. Engh was a member of the Millburn Congregational Church where he was a deacon and lay person. He was also a fifty year member, past master and past secretary of the Millburn Masonic Lodge #127 A.F. & A.M. and was an eight time past patron of the Millburn O.E.S. Chapter #570. He worked in customer service for Anchor Coupling in Libertyville before his retirement in 1981.
On Sept. 21, 1946 he married Mildred Lucille Clark in Millburn.
Survivors include his wife, M. Lucille; his daughters, Jo Ellen (Larry) Roebuck of Beach Park, Kristine Franks of Kenosha, and Judith (Michael) Nader of Lake Villa; his sister, Geraldine (Richard) Des Sault of Ashland, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Edith Engh Malinowski of Hudson, Fla.; and his six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Engh. Funeral services were held May 3 at Millburn Congregational Church. Interment was in Millburn Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the church in his memory.
