Beatrice Anderson's Scrapbooks
Beatrice Anderson
(photo)
lived in the John "Jake" Strang house when the
Historic District was founded in 1979.
She was instrumental in providing many of the facts about the community and houses.
We have a short biographical sketch available, which
highlights Beatrice's life.
Beatrice kept several scrapbooks which came to the museum on her passing. They are available for
viewing in the museum. Her scrapbooks were handwritten and randomly organized. Volunteers
have transcribed several of her writings.
We don't know how much of the material is original. We think we should credit some of
Beatrice's likely sources:
- Esther Foster's History
- 'The First Hundred Years', Pub. by Millburn Congregational Church
- 'Lake County History', author unknown
We've tried to organize her writings and notes along these lines:
