Sorter
Daniel Sorter, died December 8, 1863, at age 72 years and 9 months. He had been a soldier in the war of 1812. Wife Jane, died October 9, 1851 at age 59 years and 4 months. Children: Asenith, died December 28, 1843, at age 7 years 3 months and 6 days. Other info: Luna Sorter died July, 1898, at age 93, after living here 60 years (obituary). Luna Sorter lived in Waukegan in 1880 at age 75, born New York. Luna's daughter was dressmaker Mary Calabah, born about 1838.

Albert, youngest son of Daniel and Jane was born on May 8, 1833, at Nicaragua Co., New York. Came to Lake Villa area in 1840. Moved to Blue Earth City, Minnesota. Married Louisa Woolery on June 6, 1867. Moved to Fairbault, Minnesota. He moved to Spokane, Washington, about 1887. He died on Monday, December 3, 1894, at Millburn (obituary). Children: Albert, Jr., born about 1870; Maud, born about 1875.
