Rose
Henry Rose was village blacksmith in 1860, 1870, and 1880 census. Born on August 8, 1824, at Halesowen, England. Came to U. S. in 1849, and to Millburn in 1851. Henry died May 13, 1899, at age 74 years 7 months and 5 days (obituary).

Wife Mary E Phillips born about 1826 in England.

Children (all born in Illinois):

William H., born January, 1851;

John A., born about 1853, became blacksmith with father;

Mary, born October,1855, married Smith A. Wright;

Elizabeth, also known as Betsy (Bessie?), was born about 1859, became a school teacher, married Mr. Armstrong, moved to Long Pine, Nebraska;

Hellen, born about 1862.

And...

William married Jennie Murrie about November 12, 1874.

Children:

Frank R., born September, 1878;

William A., born November, 1880;

Jennett M., born August, 1883, died in May, 1910, at Rochester, Wisconsin;

Claude A., born November, 1885;

Ruby I., born November, 1891;

un-named infant, died June 12, 1894;

Myrtle E., born August, 1895;

Elmer D., born September, 1897;

Arthur P., born November, 1899.
