Born March 22, 1799, at Wigtonshire, Scotland. Married Margaret on December 11, 1821. Came here in 1855. See tree above for children. Died September 1, 1881, of dysentary, at age 82 years 6 months and 18 days (obituary).

Born September 15, 1800. Married William McCredie. Died on December 7, 1881 (1882?), at age 82 years 2 months and 22 days.

Born October 30, 1822. Married James Corrin. He was born in December, 1825, and died in August, 1902. Children: Maggie, born December, 1850, died June, 1851; Margaret L., born October, 1856, died August, 1933; Elizabeth L., born January, 1860, died in January, 1940; (infant son), died October, 1863; Ellen, born about 1864; Sarah, born November, 1864, died March, 1865; Jessie, born about 1868; James, born about 1869. Died in September, 1881.

Archibald S.

Born August 26, 1824, in Scotland. Married Catherine S. in April, 1854, in Glasgow, Scotland. She was born in December, 1828. She died July 5, 1910 (obituary). Eight children. Died May 2, 1914 (obituary).

Jane

Born October 22, 1826, in Scotland. Married John Jamieson about March 11, 1858. Children. Died April 2, 1878 (obituary).

Born June 9, 1832, in Scotland. Civil war soldier. Died June 4, 1864, while prisoner in Andersonville Prison.

Born April 2, 1837, at Wicktonshire, Scotland. Civil War soldier. Married Margaret Ironsides Bonner on January 21, 1868. She was born July 22, 1846, and died September 5, 1893 (obituary). Children. Held office of collector. Died July 30, 1874, of consumption, at age 37 years 4 months (obituary). (photo available: 1865).

Born February 9 (19?), 1845, at Galloway, Scotland. Married A. H. Stewart on June 10, 1873. Children. Died August 26, 1886.

Born April 10, 1858. Married John Sorlis Murrie in 1879. He was born on June 12, 1852, in Trenton, New Jersey, son of George Murrie. They lived in Grayslake, Illinois, after 1891, where he was postmaster. He died April 22, 1910, of cancer (obituary). Children: Roy; Emma Leone, born 1882, died 1898; Lyman; Howard; Ida Mabel, born November 16, 1895, died April 24, 1957. Catherine died on May 5, 1926.

Robertie A.

Born October, 1870. Married William H. Miller (1871-1960) in 1904. Died in 1955.

George E.

Born May 12, 1860. Highway commissioner. Died in 1938 at age 78.

Margaret Amelia

Born March 12, 1862, near Millburn. Married David Minto White on March 30, 1882. Children. Died July 1, 1924 (obituary). (photos available: 1882, 1884, and 1892).

Emma

Born August 26, 1864. Married George A. Miller in 1885. He was born January 26, 1857, and died April 29, 1942. Children. Died February 17, 1911, of goiter, at age 49.

Ida

Born 1868. Married Delbert (Adelbert?) O. Douglas in September, 1889. He was born in 1867, son of I. M. (Feb. 19, 1839 - Oct. 31, 1922) and Cornelia Smith Douglas and died in 1947. Children: Ruth, born in 1902, married Lloyd Alvin Smith (1903-1951), died in 1977. Died 1936.
