	Placement of buildings on historic registers Through our efforts, eighteen buildings have been placed on the National Register and one building has been placed on the Illinois Register.
	Obtaining the Highway 45 bypass Our members attended many meetings with members of local and state government in an attempt to keep the inevitable widening of US Highway 45 from destroying the village. The efforts were rewarded when the Illinois Department of Transportation detailed their plans for the bypass to the west of the village. Have a look at our materials for this project. Lake County and the Illinois Department of Transportation are conducting a new study to determine whether the route proposed years ago is still the most beneficial one. 	Cemetery Preservation We are working in cooperation with the Millburn Cemetery Board of Directors to preserve and enhance the cemetery.
	The Plaque Project The HMCA obtained and placed plaques on the buildings in the historic district.
